10 Years Ago Today

Hey lovelies,

I can’t believe I turn 50 this year.

In 2015, I decided I wanted to start a blog & so, on January 27th in the year 2016, I posted my very 1st blog post – It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, I really can’t believe it’s been 10 years!

Wow, how much has changed over the last 10 years!! I’ve been through so much. My blog started off fairly strong but over the years, it has been very much neglected & I regularly thought about deleting it but something in me just wouldn’t let me do it. I wonder how many people have dealt with that decision??

My posts have been so varied over the years from extremely personal to extremely cringe worthy…honestly, I can’t believe some of the things I’ve posted about.

Here’s some of my favourite posts, for reasons of the experiences, the laughs while producing them or it’s an item that has been useful to me (in no particular order) –

Here’s posts that I feel I may have overshared personal information?? –

Here’s some of my more questionable posts –

  • My childhood home… – Since becoming a Christian, my opinion about a lot of things have changed, not to mention to thoughts about my childhood home, I don’t think that it was all as bad as I used to.
  • *I love to love these things* ~ Part 1 – I can’t believe I posted any of these! I mean…really??! To be honest, I actually feel like deleting every post I’ve ever posted about products, unless they’ve been medically helpful (pain relief etc).
  • A Pinterest Addiction ~ Part 1… – I do like pinterest but there was absolutely no reason for me to do numerous posts about it!

I wasn’t planning on doing a post like this but I’m so glad I did because I occasionally will go through my posts to read my favourites & I’ve never managed to get through them all because of having to go through all the post, now I’ll have them in one place.

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Blessings.

Love SarahS Xx

  1. Thank you for this list. I can see why you would find it helpful to post it in this way. It’s a lovely way to reflect on your own journey and it’s really useful for those who you want to share it with. The way you write shows so much of your heart because you write so well and honestly about your struggles. You are a person we can see living with us, some enjoying your friendship in ways that are lovely to see. Being also a person who makes themself known in this blog is a great thing too. Thank you for letting us know you through your words. It’s something very good I think. Reminds me of God who has done exactly the same. I guess we have the added extra of Him dwelling in us, but the number of times I think His Spirit simply has to tell us “I’ve put it all in writing for you to know about that very thing you’re praying about”. He’s not writing about us specifically when He’s telling us about the things He’s made known in writing. Just like you are writing about yourself in situations and events that have happened. And, of course, God’s got loads to tell us about. It’s always impressed me that He’s done the writing He’s done. His purposes are huge, eternal etc etc. But one of those purposes is so that we can get to know Him. That’s such a beautiful thing to find. People who want us to know them. I know we both agree that relationships matter, and I wonder if your blog has in part been inspired by God doing the sort of writing He’s done too.
