Did you think I’d forgotten about the last few days of Blogtober?? Nope, I wanted to add it in by itself because it’s Halloween.
Sunday the 30th –
After dad brought those Halloween deckies yesterday, I was going to take most of them to work to deck work out but remembered that I was on the later shift so just decided to take a couple to work & put the majority of them up at home in our hallway so they’d be seen when I open the front door to the trick or treaters……………………………………..
Me & Richard carved a pumpkin today, ready for me to take to work tomorrow……………………………….

If you hold a table-spoon (not plastic & without a plastic handle) at the bottom of the handle, you can get a better grip to help with scooping out of the pumpkin guts. Richard, you’re a genius, that made it so much easier for me.
Our finished pumpkins……………………………

Not bad for my 1st attempt!
You have to check out carved pumpkins in the dark…………………….

We also did ginger cookie decorating (hehe)………………………………………………

Here’s 3 attempts – I just decided to cover mine! Hehe…………………………………

All finished, I loved doing this with Richard…………………………….

I really do love the fact that Richard’s so up for anything, I’m one of those annoying people who want to completely embrace Autumn & Winter, along with everything that comes with those seasons (even if I’m not always able to) & Richard just gets stuck in, we both had a right laugh today.
~ IT’S HALLOWEEEEEEEEEN ~
My tree is looking rather sorry for itself this week…………………………………

Hehe……………………………………………….

Thinking maybe I should have worn my hair down all day – definitely scarier!
Richard started my pumpkin soup for me today, the recipe I usually use, is a weight watchers & the website was down, so I had to use a different one & it wasn’t very nice. Next time, I’m going to have to keep a record of it so I don’t have to keep using the websites!

What I learned this week…………………………..
- Be more organised with the cooking
- Get a pic of my nieces & nephews in their Halloween costumes when they come trick or treating – they won’t be young enough to go halloweening (yes, that’s a word as far as I’m concerned) forever!
- Try & get the early shift at work next year!
- Go back to my previous years sweetie choices & start including healthy goodies in the bags too.
I hope you had an amazing Halloween.
Bye for now.
Love Sarah Mx
