I may not live in a country that celebrates Thanksgiving like they do across the pond but I definitely have reasons to be thankful & with Thanksgiving season around, I thought I’d share them.
The things I’m thankful for –
My eyes – They give me the ability to see the beauty around me & enable me to see the smiles on the faces of the people I love.
My limbs – They get me from A to B & allow me to embrace the people I love.
My family & friends – They keep me strong, sane & put a smile on my face, even on days when I don’t want to smile!
Mother Nature – She allows us to enjoy her beauty & the changing seasons.
Still having both my parents alive – When I see the sadness in Richards eyes when he talks about losing his father, it breaks my heart, he’s an incredibly strong man to have survived such torturous pain!
My job – In a time where there’s no local jobs, I’m so lucky to work within a 20 minute walk from my house.
My darling Richard – I finally found my soul mate. He always puts a smile on my face & manages to make me laugh everyday, even if he’s sometimes a pain in the ass! Hehe.
Feeling loved by those I love!
Having a roof over my head – As the weather gets colder & wetter, it saddens me to think of anyone not having somewhere dry & warm to rest their head.
Not worrying where my next meals coming from.
My hearing – I listen to music everyday on my way to work, I love the sound of laughter & Richard greeting me when I come home from work.
My finger nails – Richard has no finger nails & it’s amazing the things you struggle with when you don’t have any.
I’m thankful for lots more things from being able to smell gorgeous aromas like cinnamon, Christmas smells, the smell of the different seasons & my favourite candles, not to mention our abundance supply of drinking water & our electricity supply.
Bye for now.
Love Sarah Mx
