New lip balm love

I read an article in January expressing that petroleum/vaseline based lip care don’t do your lips any favours in the long run because they place a film over your lips & don’t let moisture in, yes they feel amazing on the lips & I wouldn’t use anything else for over a decade but after reading this article (I’m sorry but I don’t have a link for this article), I decided to give other types a go.

I decided to try……………..

I was a tad worried about trying this product as it’s a wax base & I was concerned it would leave my lips feeling dry but to my surprise, it didn’t, yes, they feel different on my lips, yes they’re not a moisture soaked feeling like the nivea lip care products I’ve loved for over a decade but they didn’t feel dry either & the moisture they added to my lips lasted longer than my old lip balm, my lips feel that they can hold their own more than they could before!

The 2 varieties of the Burts Bees lip balm I decided to try was the original & the wild cherry, I was shocked to find that I loved the original & really disliked the wild cherry, I was convinced it’d be the other way round, the wild cherry smells good but tastes absolutely foul!!! I’ve only been using it for just over 1 month & I’ve already got 1 stashed at work, 1 on my bed side table & 1 for my bag! Hehe.

I’d love to hear if anyone uses the Burt’s Bees Lip Balms & has tried any of the other flavours, I’d love to know what you think.

Since starting this post, I’ve been & got myself the grapefruit flavour Burt’s Bees & I love it.
