My 1st year of blogging

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year, that’s gone by so fast. If you’ve never seen me or my posts before, come & have a read – About Me.

You know when you have an idea or you want to do something & you don’t know the finer details like, where to start or how to start?? That’s what I was like about 14 to 15 months ago. I knew I wanted an outlet for my ‘stuff’ & that I wanted somewhere to record memories & such, it was either start a blog or start a YouTube channel, I did dabble in doing videos for YouTube, I did an introduce me video (on private), a favourites video & a couple of personal videos telling you about our plans & why I started the YouTube channel (deleted), they weren’t bad – well, apart from the introduce me video, literally the most boring introduce me video you’d ever see in your life, it took me ages to relax in front of the camera & that was so obvious, by the time I had relaxed, you would’ve either turned it off or fell asleep!

The 1st thing I posted was about christmas – It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. It’s mostly photos & I’ve noticed that not much has changed on that front – My 2016 new finds, old faves & highlights, I’m an extremely visual person, I love to read blogs with lists & photos. Every now & then I’ll do a wordy post, It’s usually something personal or informative that don’t require photos. It just occurred to me that this post may very well be all words! Hehe.

This blog has given me so much over the past 12 months, it’s enabled me try new stuff like the best pain relief cream I’ve ever used – Do you suffer with body pain??? Try this…. & December 2016s Birchbox – What I thought of my December 2016 Birchbox & freebie., both of which, I wouldn’t have had the chance to try without starting my blog. I have a years worth of memories that I’ll be able to look through as I wish to, I loved doing Blogtober – Blogtober ~ Week 1 & Blogmas – Blogmas ~ My festive season bucket list. My blog has taught me so much about myself, blogging suits me down to the ground, I love making lists & I love telling people about things I love & that make me smile. I’ve come to realise that I’m the kind of person that can’t put my all into something unless I love it! I’ve not always been proud of every blog post & I’ve had posts where I’ve had to stop myself from writing because it would’ve been far too long otherwise. I’ve written posts that have made me fear the response, I’ve written posts that have made me cry & ones that have made me laugh. I’ve written posts that I’ve finished in less than 4 hours & ones that have taken me a whole week – like blogtober & blogmas.

I’ve loved every second of it & recommend everyone have a go at blogging, even if it’s just to keepsake memories in a diary format.

A post on why I started blogging – My Ramble For Starting This Blog, after having a re-read of this post, some things have changed, I’m not as enthusiastic about just wedding planning but event planning in general, from weddings to fund-raising.

The things I love to do the most are organising people. I love to plan parties/BBQs/gatherings/meetings, basically, anything that requires researching party & gathering stuff, feeding people, cooking for people. Making people happy, smile & laugh. I can get a little frazzled but I love it, I love knowing that I’ve organised something that everyone enjoyed & it helped to make that person an amazing memory that they’ll carry through their life forever. I’m not naïve, I know you can’t please everyone but as long as I can please the majority, I’m happy.

Moving forward with my blog, I want to be trying more stuff & letting you guys know if it’s worth spending your hard-earned cash on, I want to be planning more events, showing you what I do & how I get on. I’d love to do more recipes, I did a couple over the past year – A taste for a Smoothie………….Berries go Bananas & An amazing breakkie for the colder months. I really loved doing Blogtober & Blogmas last year, so I definitely want to do that again this year. Also, me & Richard are trying for a baby this year, going through fertility treatment & I’ll be blogging the whole journey, including my weight loss journey, so they’ll be more personal posts this year.

2017 is going to an emotional & exciting 2nd year of blogging & I can’t wait.

Before I go, I want to thank YOU, you have been amazing, taking the time out of your day to spare a few minutes for me, reading my blog posts & supporting me throughout the past 12 months. Here’s to the next 12 months & I hope you come along for the ride. I love & appreciate you for the time you give me & I wish you every happiness in the world.

Bye for now.
